Bringing the Christmas Cheer Back to Henderson

The Waipareira Christmas Parade made its grand return to Henderson over the weekend, and what a spectacular day it was! The streets came alive as whānau from across our community joined together to celebrate the festive season in true Waipareira style.

The parade kicked off from Alderman Drive travelling through to Ratanui Street and Great North Road. Our floats showcased emergency services, kōhanga reo, Te Atatu Roosters, Tatau Dance Group, local businesses and featured over 50 of our Waipareira Kaimahi. Of course, Hana Koko made his long-awaited appearance, bringing smiles to our tamariki on his Waipareira sleigh.

It was great to see whānau of all ages turn out to celebrate. A big mihi to our team of organisers and Auckland Council for all the behind-the-scenes work and making the day a success!
